100th Review Celebration
My last review, the Bowmore 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch, marked the 100th review posted since launching Nice Sipper a little over a year ago. It’s been a fun year and to commemorate the journey, and poke fun of some of my earlier posts, I created a musical montage video of all 100 reviews, in order. I hope you enjoy “Nice Sipper’s First 100 Reviews: An Evolution”.
If you missed any of the reviews that you see in the video, they are all posted on the website for free, with the exception of the Exclusive Reviews, which can be found in The Library.

Why is a paywall being added to the site?
As you can all appreciate, whiskey isn’t getting any cheaper. In order to continue providing a steady volume of reviews, Nice Sipper needs some help to fund these bottle purchases. Otherwise, Mrs. Nice Sipper will stop being so accommodating with his hobbies!
And if I can help you not to make one single over-priced purchase, then the $2/month pays for itself!
Will all reviews be kept behind a paywall going forward?
Absolutely not! Nice Sipper will continue to post reviews free to the general public for all types of whiskey. The cutoff points for free vs. exclusive will likely be around $50 for Bourbons, Ryes, and Irish whiskey and $75 for Single Malt Scotch and potentially other whiskies of the world. I am reticent to put in place a hard and fast dollar amount as I want some flexibility depending on the circumstance, but I suspect this rule will generally fit most reviews going forward.

All ratings are done on a scale between 1x 🥃 and 5x 🥃 according to the following criteria
1x 🥃 = I don't like this at all and/or not worth the cost by a mile.
2x 🥃🥃 = This is "meh" and/or slightly overpriced.
3x 🥃🥃🥃 = This is good stuff and/or the price is right.
4x 🥃🥃🥃🥃 = This is wonderful and I'm always keeping it in stock especially at this price.
5x 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃 = This is amazing and/or this is way underpriced for the quality of the experience.
